Ration Calculation (RBS)
The RBS program was developed for ration calculation for dairy cattle.
This ration calculation is based on the calculation rules of the Koemodel of the PR.
Based on a number of primary data points, the program can calculate the cow’s requirements, after which a ration can be formulated. With the calculated requirements, the coverage of this ration can be displayed.

Rations
In the ration, multiple concentrates can be specified to be fed in addition to the basal ration.
The concentrate intake can be managed entirely according to your preferences. By specifying a minimum and/or maximum for set days, a feeding schedule can be created (phase feeding).
The calculated ration consists of the following components:
- Intake of feedstuffs from the basal ration. Displayed in totals and in content per kg of dry matter.
- Intake of concentrates. Displayed in totals and in content per kg of dry matter.
- Total intake and calculated requirements. This also displays the deficit/surplus with the corresponding coverage percentage.
Concentrate Table
Once a proper basal ration has been calculated, a concentrate table can be generated. The table displays the recommended amount of concentrate for the entire lactation. The length and step size of the lactation period are adjustable. The program also calculates a concentrate ration for 3 higher or lower lactation curves.
The choice of nutrients is completely flexible. The number is unlimited.
The feedstuffs can be stored in 2 separate feedstuff tables. The first table contains all the feedstuffs for your farm. The second contains all home-grown feedstuffs.
Feedstuffs can be imported from an optimization package. They can also be imported from CVB, Schothorst, Eurofins, etc.
The feed value calculation makes it possible to calculate digestion fractions for
fresh grass, grass silage, and corn silage.
Report
You can generate a clear report of this entire ration calculation to leave with your clients.
